  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,750 pounds from Alpine Fishery the week of May 16th. The next stocking of 1,000 pounds is this week! Join us this weekend for a fresh stock. The catfish stocking schedule can be viewed HERE.
  • What's the catch?  A little bit of everything this weekend. Lots of Bluegill caught off of the campground shoreline. Meal worms and half a nightcrawler were the ticket. The trout are still biting! We've seen several good sized trout pulled from the southeastern shoreline the past few weekends. It's been reported that they are biting on mini jigs and nightcrawlers. Bass bites have also been reported from the campground shoreline out past the structure in Sentry Cove. Try using watermelon Senkos or brush hog and Texas rig. The catfish will look for food at night. Tie a #2 or #4 hook on to your test line, add a 2 inch piece of mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver and cast into shallow waters. You’re sure to get a bite!  Brush up on fishing for catfish by reading our quick and easy 'How To' guide. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The surface temperature around the boat dock is 71 degrees. The sun is rising around 5:40 a.m. and setting around 7:53 p.m. New Moon is June 28th. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • Campground: The campground shoreline is the perfect place to fish for catfish during the week. No camping reservations required! Sentry and Half Moon Cove are some of the most active coves for cats. The shoreline is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • Day use is available at the campground during the week! We have a couple of picnic areas to BBQ and enjoy the views - one at Sentry Point and the other near the campground entrance next to the horseshoe pits. Make a day of it and rent a horseshoe set for $20! The playground and hiking trails are also open to day users.
  • The campground opens for long term reservations in September. It's never too early to book a campsite for 30 nights or more! If you would like more information about long term camping visit our website HERE.
