Fishing for both smallmouth and trout has been good at Wall this spring. Trout fishing along the shallow shoreline and near the inlet has been good with flies. Trout are actively cruising the shallows for damsels and other insects early and late in the day. Bass fishing has been best from a boat with jigs and spoons in deeper water. As summer heats up the shallows. We should see the trout move out to deeper water and the bass move into shallow water during majority of the day. Crayfish colored lures and flies work very well year-round at Wall.
