The Metolius has been fishing well. We have been hearing reports of Green Drakes around and people picking fish up on dries. Caddis are also important now and having a variety of sizes and colors is a good idea. Nymphing has been hot and a golden stone nymph followed by 8-10” and a small caddis or mayfly pattern is a great method. Swinging sculpin streamers is a good way to target larger rainbows and bull trout. Fishing large streamers under an indicator can also be an effective way to target bulls. The whole river is open so go explore some spots you haven't before!
