Stampede Reservoir has a consistent Kokanee bite in the 65 foot water column. Early risers get the best results here. Anglers fishing for Kokanee should aim to be fishing around 5:00am. Some recommended bait for Kokanee to use are Pink hoochies, wedding rings, purple splatter spinners, or arctic trolling flies. Shore anglers fishing off the dam for trout at Stampede should use powerbait, salmon eggs, or nightcrawlers.
