Catfish are being caught on the east end of the lake, in Boat Dock Cove, and west of Senior Shoreline. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.

Crappie like a place to hide and so prefer the cover of shade. Crappie bite best on mini-jigs and live golden shiners. They are most often caught in the early mornings or late afternoons.

Largemouth Bass can be found lurking around structure. Bass are being caught on crankbaits, frogs, and dark colored plastics.

The first of three consecutive weekly plants arrived this week and the second plant is just days away. There should be a noticeable surge in the catfish bite for the rest of July and into early August. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel. The first of three consecutive weekly plants arrives this week. Catfish action should heat up throughout July and into early August. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.
