Stocking: The last stocking of 1,000 pounds of catfish was the week of October 10th. This season 8,750 pounds of catfish were stocked. Take advantage of the stock before weekly night fishing ends for the season!
Trout season is coming soon! As soon as we have a date for the opener, we'll let you know.

What's the catch?  Fishermen who weren't watching the playoffs or college football and came out for a session at the lake were rewarded this weekend. The catfish stock was hungry and the weather ideal! Limits were pulled by boat and shoreline. Sounds like most of the catch was in or near Siesta and Hermit Coves. Garlic bait, like nightcrawlers and shrimp were producing bites. The Bluegill bite was good in Half Moon Cove this weekend. Meal worms are like candy to these guys, but a pinched nightcrawler will work too. No reports of bass biting this weekend.
Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.

Conditions: The surface temperature is around 77 degrees. The district is drawing from the lake again, which means more shoreline to fish! Be mindful of exposed vegetation and rocks when boating. The sun is rising around 6:50 a.m. and setting about 6:20 p.m. New moon is October 25th. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
