Recent rains brought the lake level up to 12 percent of capacity, and fishing remained fair. Largemouth held out in deeper water with drop shot, jigs, and vertical spoons fooling fish. In years past some of the biggest bass in the lake have come on spoons like Sonars, Kastmasters, and Hopkins. Bass also fell for deep diving shad patterned crankbaits. Catfish took garlic scented nightcrawlers, dip bait, and chicken liver, and a few crappie were reported on live worms near the marina. There’s a trout plant scheduled for the week of December 18th.
