We have very high flows on the Truckee river, but it is fishable. The biggest challenge is finding parking due to the high snow pack. There is some parking down the 80 corridor at Floriston and Farad. Wade carefully if you are going to wade at all in the river.
Tips for the Week
Indicator nymphing is the best technique right now. The fish are holding in the slower water near the back of the deep pools. Anglers should use lots of weight to ge the flies down near the bottom.
