Winter steelhead fishing typically peaks on the Yaquina January-March. Fishing has been challenging the past few weeks but it’s starting to pick up.
As with the rest of the mid coast basins the low and clear water is proving challenging for angling. With the incoming rain we should see opportunities improve.
Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31 and will reopen on May 22.
