Fishing has been moderate but consistent on the Nestucca with steelhead being caught daily and sporadic good days. Conditions this week are going to be changing quickly according to the current predictions. As of now it looks like it will be high but may be fishable through the weekend and then is likely to blow out on Monday. Keep an eye on the hydrograph and check conditions before you go this week.
There are hatchery and wild (catch-and-release only for wilds) steelhead throughout the fishery, and fresh fish still coming in. The hatchery steelhead run on the Nestucca continues until early April. There are several popular drift boat runs on the river and some good bank access on the upper reaches.
