The river coming into the lake continues to be somewhat high. We would suggest you take a look at water above Sims and Dunsmuir if you want to find a spot to fish on the Upper. This spring we are looking forward to some runoff early, but look for some good stonefly hatches in late April and through May. This river rocks the spring!

Hat Creek: The creek is looking good and is fishing pretty well
Sacramento River - Lower: The river continues to clear and more and more insects are hatching
Trinity River: The releases will only go up from now until they peak above 4,200 CFS on April 12th
Sacramento River - Upper: The river looks mighty tasty from the highway, although it continues to flow high below Sims
Shasta Lake: The lake is back in pretty good shape with good visibility in most of the main body
