Pyramid Lake rose to 92 percent of capacity, and fishing has been very good. If you’re in the right spot at the right time you can fill the boat with striper gorging on the massive shad schools. Striper took white flukes, Kastmasters, and topwater baits during the boils. Striper also ate cut baits near Yellowbar, the Marina, and Freeway Cove. Large and smallmouth anglers did very well throwing stick baits, Ned rigs, and Texas rigs in 5 to 25 feet of water. Ox Blood, Watermelon, and Aaron’s Magic all worked for bites. Catfish anglers had another good week while soaking dip bait, cut baits, and chicken liver.
