Wilson Reservoir is completely full and spilling. Water temps are in the 60’s and water clarity is good. Trout fishing should be fair to good. Shore anglers should have success fishing rooster tails, spoons, Rapalas, or bait fishing an inflated worm a couple feet off the bottom. Trout will be actively feeding in the shallows throughout the day. Anglers wishing to fly fish should find success stripping woolly buggers and leech patterns, or fishing small nymph, midge, or balance leech patterns under an indicator.
Bass fishing has improved with warmer water temperatures, fishing should continue to be good through the rest of summer. Anglers can find success fishing soft plastics, spinner baits, and crankbaits around any structure in the reservoir.
