Pyramid Lake rose to 92 percent of capacity, and water temperatures were in the upper seventies. Bass anglers threw topwater, small jerkbaits, and crankbaits for the first few hours of the day. After that jigs, Keitechs, and finesse baits fooled large and smallmouth in 5 to 25 feet of water. Senko style baits have been another good option. Striped bass have been biting the best during the morning boils. After the bait fish go deeper trolling umbrella rigs in 25 feet of water has been very productive. Catfish anglers reported another slow week, but don’t worry. Pyramid is absolutely loaded with quality whisker fish. That bite will rebound soon.
