The Metolius has been fishing well. Nymphing has been hot with a variety of things including jigged and balanced leeches, rainbow warriors, golden stones, pheasant tails, and nitro caddis. Dry fly opportunities have been available as well with fish feeding on golden stones, caddis, and PMDs. Large streamers and 7 or 8 weight rods are the way to go for targeting bulls and there should be more and more of them in the river over the next month as they run up out of lake Billy Chinook and join the resident fish.
