EAST WALKER RIVER
The East is running at about 288 cfs right now and is fishing very well. We’ve been getting lots of good streamer and nymph reports this past week. Most of the anglers we’ve spoken to are fishing in the upper mile as the water below the bridge is still kind if difficult at this flow. We’ve also started to get some good reports from the Nevada side as well. With the higher flows it seems you are able to fish some larger sized flies and have success as well. Some patterns that have been working include: prince nymphs, pheasant tails, rubber legs, stonefly nymphs, zebra midge, sculpzilla, JJ special, dead drift crayfish.

SCEIRINE RANCH
The ranch is also fishing well with similar reports to the California reports coming in. Lots of good nymphing and streamer fishing and lots of good quality fish being caught. With the lower flows on the river the ranch is starting to book up so if you want to get on the private water try to give us a call ahead of time.

HUNEWILL POND
The pond fished excellent this week, lots of nice fish being caught out there. We’ve had a little bit of windy weather but it hasn’t seemed to hinder the anglers on the pond so far. Most of the action this past week has been with small leech patterns in black and green, the fish are pretty grabby and some of them don’t have any issues breaking off 3X and 4X tippet. Give us a call to book some time out there!

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR
The reservoir has tapered off a little bit, it seems that with the cooler weather the fish might be spreading out and leaving the channels a little now. There are still some fish being caught up in the channels, just not the numbers like a couple weeks ago. As the fish start to spread out I’d expect the trolling to start getting better which will add to the fun. I also feel like it might be time to give Rainbow Point a try as there could likely be some fish moving in over there again. Successful baits still include power bait, mice tails, pinched crawlers and inflated crawlers and if you’re going to try trolling go with Rapalas, Thomas Bouyants, Kastmasters and crawlers.

KIRMAN LAKE
We didn’t get any news back from Kirman this week but when we do we’ll pass it along.

TWIN LAKES
The Twins are kicking out some good fish up to 5 our 6 pounds lately, the trolling has been good with Rapalas and Thomas Bouyants while the bait fishing has been good with power bait, pinched crawlers and mice tails. We have gotten some slow reports here and there and I would suggest that if you’re having trouble hooking up try moving around once in a while until you find some fish, some days you might have to work a little harder at it but you should be able to find some fish.

WEST WALKER RIVER
The flows on the West are mostly under 200 now unless it decides to rain on the mountain then it will spike for a while. The fishing has picked up nicely with the lower flows and you should be able to find some fish with lures like Panther Martins and Vibrax lures, for bait you can try salmon eggs and night crawlers. We haven’t heard anything about dry fly fishing lately but the nymphing and streamer fishing has been pretty good, you can try copper johns, prince nymphs, soft hackles, hare’s ears, wooly buggers and mini leeches.

VIRGINIA LAKES
The Virginias are still producing good numbers of quality fish, especially for anglers who are getting away from the shore with tubes or kayaks. Fly anglers are doing well with leech patterns, wooly buggers, Twin Lakes Specials and small nymphs, bait anglers are using pinched crawlers, mice tails and inflated crawlers, lure anglers are having success with Thomas Bouyants, Hook Up Baits and Kastmasters.
