Fishing should be good for brook trout and redband trout lower in the creek. Meadow areas have abundant grasshoppers but they will be dissipating soon. Open all year. Long Creek is located above Sycan Marsh coming off Yamsi Mountain. ‌

There is ample water to fish on Green Diamond property. Currently, the best place to fish is the Green Diamond property above the Nature Conservancy downstream of the old bridge crossing.‌

Brook trout are very abundant in the creek, and some get very big. They are concentrating for spawning.‌

Brook trout can reach up to 20 inches in the creek, but this is an exceptional fish for this creek. ODFW encourages unlimited harvest of brook trout in the creek. Make sure you know the difference between bull trout and brook trout. Bull trout are exceedingly rare.
