As of this week, the road was still open. Use extreme caution if you venture in. There is one way in and out of the lake, and the road is not so flat.

East Carson River (CA): The river has come down a little with our colder temperature
Topaz Lake: The fishing has been good for catchable rainbows as well as a few in the 2-3 lb class
