The Metolius has been fishing well. Nymphing is the best tactic for catching fish during all points of the day but it is definitely smart to come prepared with some dry BWO’s and caddis in case you find yourself in the right place at the right time. As far as nymphing goes jimmy legs, october caddis, eggs, two-bits and copper johns have all been working. As always swinging, stripping, or dead drifting a large streamer is a good way to try and fool some bulls.
