Stocking: Another 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout went into the lake last week. Expect another 1,500 pounds from Idaho to go into the lake the week of February 19th. Follow our Instagram feed for the most updated info regarding trout stocking.

What’s the Catch? Schools of trout were deep last weekend. Most limits came by boat. There were reports of shoreline trout in Hermit and Eagle Cove. By all reports, trout were biting on spoons, Powerbait, and mini jigs. The catfish bite was fire after sunset during New Moon Fishing last weekend! Limits were coming in on boats especially after dark. Don’t sleep on the shoreline for cats, which is most active at sunset when they come closer to shore to feed. Mackerel and dip baits were working for catfish. Dockhands saw the small bass biting around the boat dock this weekend. As always the bass bite on the t-dock was active as well.

Conditions: The water temperature is 59 degrees. The water column is well mixed and cold. The days are getting longer with the sun rising at 6:32 a.m. and setting at 5:33 p.m. Full moon is on February 24th.
