The aqueduct bite seems to be about a month behind what would be considered normal, and hopefully the bite will take off soon. Anglers still reported plenty of line sides taking cut sardines, and anchovies after check gates. Jumbo live minnows were another good choice for striped bass anglers. Lure anglers did well with jerkbaits in aurora shad and pearl white. Flukes on a jig head are always a good choice. Catfish took dip bait, chicken liver, and cut baits on the bait rig, and bass anglers reported an improving bite. Largemouth fell for weightless Senkos and finesse baits in the eddies before and after check gates.
