This week Isabella fell to 63 percent of capacity and continues to release more water. Crappie are being caught near the South Fork area. Anglers finding the right structure and deep brush have had the best results. Crappie are coming on live small or medium shiners and white/chartreuse minijigs. The catfish action has been excellent in the evening with good numbers of fish being taken. Quality whiskerfish are showing on SSS Dip Bait, nightcrawlers and cut baits. The bass action has been hit or miss. Our contacts reported fish on jigs, spinnerbaits and Senko’s. The trout bite continues to be very good for both shore and boat anglers. Boaters trolling Tasmanian Devils, Needlefish and Flicker Shad have mentioned it’s some of the best trout fishing they’ve had at Isabella in years.
