Heat Warnings Cause Slower Bites

Anglers are using anchovies and stink bait in tubes to catch striped bass and catfish below Casino Row. The fish are averaging 2 pounds. Black bass are going for poppers and rattling jigs throughout the morning hours. Anglers are finding the bite to be quite slow during periods of heat warning in the afternoon.
