The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of trophy size trout last week!

The fish have retreated to deeper waters to beat the heat, so make sure you’re going down deep to increase your chances of catching a big one. Rainbow Garlic PowerBait and Pink/White Mice tails have been working great. Come early and stay cool along the creek or lake shore while casting a line using a mini jig. The fish have also been staying cool in little pools along the banks of Convict Creek. Early mornings and late evenings have been the best times to reel in the lunkers. The early angler gets the catch! Make sure to bring an ice chest to keep your catches cold. No one likes poached fish!

The marina was the place to be over the holiday weekend with all the pontoons, kayaks and paddleboards completely booked up.
