The West is still producing decent numbers of fish with bait like salmon eggs, power eggs and mini night crawlers and lures like Mepps, Panther Martin and Roostertail spinners. Fly anglers are having some success with hopper/dropper rigs and some small attractor nymphs on the bottom. The only thing that can throw the West off a bit this time of the year is if there are any thunder showers upstream, this can muddy up the water for up to 24 hours which can make things more difficult, just keep an eye on what the rain is doing before you plan your trip to the West.
