Anglers continue to find success at East and Paulina Lakes. Balanced leeches, chironomids, and callibaetis are all worth trying. Consider using a Beetle, ant, or Chubby Chernobyl as an indicator for a more subtle presentation. If you're there during a hatch, callibaetis dries can be deadly. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns can also get fish excited.
Three Creeks Lake has been rewarding anglers. Small streamers stripped through the water have been productive, as have balanced leeches and chironomids suspended under an indicator. Callibaetis patterns are worth a shot here too.
Don't forget that the Deschutes River Arm of Wickiup Reservoir closes annually from September 1 through April 21, from the Gull Point Boat Ramp to the ODFW markers near Sheeps Bridge. This closure is to protect spawning kokanee.
