At Donner Lake, the trout bite from shore is picking up as the weather starts to get cooler. With most of the summer crowds gone, anglers can now find shore fishing along the entire lake. Most of the fish are currently feeding near the shorelines on inflated night crawlers or powerbait. Donner Lake has some of the last of the kokanee fishing left in the area. Kokanee here are being reported around 13 inches in length. Donner Lake is currently at 70% capacity.
