The fishing at Crane Prairie has been picking up steadily, especially around midday as temperatures rise a bit. Balanced leeches, beetles, and ants are working well, particularly along the Cultus Channel. Focus on areas where fish are gathering for late-season feeding. Wind can be a factor at Crane, but those who pick their days will find fish moving through channels and drop-offs. This lake stays open until October 31st, so the coming week provides one last chance to enjoy Crane Prairie before the season wraps up.
