The Nehalem has fall Chinook in the bay and there should be a good push into the river following the recent rains. There is also a hatchery coho run returning to the North Fork and fish have started showing up at the hatchery. Oct 23 was the last day of wild coho retention on the North Coast and NO retention of wild coho is allowed for the remainder of the year. The bag limit for wild adult Chinook is 1/day and 5 for the season from July 1 to Nov. 30. See the regulation updates for more details.
Cutthroat trout fishing closed in the North Coast rivers and streams on Nov. 1.
