Aqueduct anglers reported fair striped bass fishing overall with some better reports in the mix. Cut baits were the best way to hook up, but jumbo live minnows and lugworms took fish too. Tube baits and magnum flukes jigged along the bottom were effective before and after check gates. Bass anglers used drop shot and split shot rigs to fool fish in eddies and near outtake grates. Catfishing was good for anglers Carolina rigging the usual smelly baits in calm water after check gates.
