The road is open as of this week. But will be closing down starting next week. I would recommend staying out of the area. With the road the way it is and our recent weather. It could result in getting stuck.

West Carson River (CA): The water level is very low. It was running at 24 CFM this week
East Carson River (CA): The river is running clear and very fishable
Heenan Lake : Open until November 30th
Topaz Lake: The lake level has been going down about a foot a week
