The flows from Lewiston today are descending below 4,000 cfs and will continue to drop over the coming days. Tomorrow it will be dropping down through 3,000 CFS and by Sunday, it should be in shape on the top end.
December 28th - 3000 CFS
January 1st - 1500 CFS
January 11th - 300 CFS
Generally, the river will fish well below a 1,000 CFS release on the top end.

This river is still very much a great option and should be good from the Old Bridge in Lewiston down to Bucktail through the weekend, the storm heading our way will will potentially murk things up below Douglas City. Larger fish are coming up from the lower river, and you can expect to see pods of fish all the way from Cedar Flat up into Lewiston. Good swing opportunities will be present below Pigeon Point for sure. Best nymphs remain the Duracell, Olive Hotspot, Black Perdigon, Rubberlegs and egg patterns. Skagits, tips and large intruders or tube flies will get the job done. Pick your favorite color, tie it on and fish it!
