Lake Mohave Fish Report for 1-8-2025
Riviera Marina Fishing Report
Lake Mohave - Cottonwood Cove, NV

1-8-2025
With the current winds, fishing has been a bit slow. Our visiting anglers were recently out trolling on Lake Mohave. Steve Berczik and Les Kern managed to land a nice 7.46-pound striper measuring 27.5 inches. They were fishing on the Nevada side, just past the power lines.
Reports from the Basin area indicate that trolling with an umbrella rig has been productive, while near the dam and Telephone Cove, bucktail jigs are producing a few stripers. Below Davis Dam, along the shores of the Colorado River, anglers are finding success at Community Park and Rotary Park, where rainbow trout are also biting. These trout are stocked by the Willow Beach Hatchery, providing a great catch for both local and visiting anglers. They also help manage the caddis fly population.
The Community Park area continues to be a hotspot for striped bass. This is a great time to target them with swim baits and pencil poppers. With the wind slowing things down, it's a good opportunity to get your gear ready while we wait for the weather to improve.
We look forward to seeing you soon and hearing about your catches. Don’t forget, we’re your weigh station—bring in both your large and small fish for a weigh-in!
