They are catching trout on the southern shore from the South Shore Rock Pile east. The top baits are orange mice-tails, green power-worms, and inflated nightcrawlers.
Big Catfish continue to be weighed in Chand Kay of San Diego caught a 40.00# catfish on a trout lure near the east buoys. Catfish are most frequently caught at the west buoy line and favor mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.
Crappie fishing has been solid lately with some large specimens being reported. They are currently suspended deep near the west buoy line. They bite best on crappie jigs or live golden shiners.
Largemouth Bass are becoming increasingly active. Kaz Kondo of Temecula caught & released a 9.50# bass on a Klash 9 swimbait in the middle of the lake. The bass chase dark colored plastics, jigs, and swimbaits.

The storm that passed through last week have left the waters stained and slowed the trout bite. The best baits to use for trout when the visibility is poor are garlic scented Powerbait, or anything dipped in garlic. Catfish with their excellent sense of taste and smell are unhampered by the muddy conditions. Catfish are most frequently caught at the west buoy line and favor mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.
