The lower Nehalem River will most likely stay high and off color through the weekend making for less-than-ideal fishing conditions. The upper river is probably in decent shape today and Friday but may get muddy again by Saturday afternoon. When conditions are fishable there should be steelhead throughout the basin. There are no hatchery steelhead releases in the Nehalem so this is mostly a catch-and-release fishery for wild steelhead.
