We have some exciting river news to share! Along the shores of the Colorado River, below the Davis Dam, it's trout season. We're receiving rainbow trout from the Willow Beach Hatchery, and this crew knows how to raise some great fish. Local angler Jerry Ward came in with a limit of rainbows he landed at Community Park. He was fishing from shore using a trout jig to land his limit of five trout.

We also received a trout plant at Rotary Park on Tuesday. The striper bite has been doing well at Community Park too, with swimbaits in the 6-inch size, especially in white or trout patterns, producing great results.

Up on Lake Mohave, trolling has been the most effective method, using swimbaits and buck-tailed jigs. Anchovies work well near the dam and behind the islands. Sometimes chumming can help bring the fish in.
