Bass action improved this week, with more fish reported compared to previous weeks. Anglers are finding success throwing Keitechs in sexy shad on an underspin or ball head, along with Yamamoto Senkos in green pumpkin fished on a light Texas rig or drop-shot setup. One of our contacts also reported solid action using weightless flukes and small Ike’s jigs. It has been two weeks since the last trout plant, but holdover fish are still being caught on mini jigs, spinners, pinched nightcrawlers, and garlic-scented PowerBait. Bluegill continue to bite well on wax worms, mealworms, and red worms. The crappie bite is still producing, though it has slowed slightly, with the best action occurring during the late afternoon on small live shiners and crappie jigs tipped with nibbles.
