Haystack Reservoir is also fishing well and my report from yesterday talking to my friend Bob is Balanced Leeches and Balanced Minnows, mostly fished under an indicator, but remember that an indicator doesn’t lock you in to a static, never moving presentation. You can hand twist or strip slowly and generate some movement to the leech or minnow with good success. Chrionomids and Callibaetis Nymphs are recommended and don’t be surprised to see the mayfly adults coming out in the afternoons now so add emergers and duns and spinners for the trip to the lake already.
