Fishing conditions and Hatches:
Fonditions and Hatches: Fair to Good. Water temps have gone over 60F in the north arm and at Sandy and the fish have headed for the mouth of the Owens, Little Hilton and McGee Bay. Now, here is a strange one. The fish just outside Little Hilton and in McGee are on the fry big time, but guess what, not Perch but Tui Chub. They are chasing them just under the surface. If you get out there very early like 6 am you can strip a small, like 1/4", white mini-Hornberg and they'll go for it but lots of casts and it is over by 7 am. Midgers have moved to the far west side of the bay and doing okay but it doesn't get going until about 10 am after they are off the Chub.

Recommended Flies:
Gray/black dubbed optimidge in size 16 is the best overall producer with Black/Gold Zebra size 16 good midday. If you see a Calibaetis on the surface try a Jensen's Callibaetis.
