While the river is in great shape the water temperature has been a bit on the cool side.?? Keeping the spring chinook and early summer steelhead from entering in large numbers.????The fishing has not been hot, but a few fish have been hooked by??anglers spending the time.?? These early fish can be the hottest fighters of the year.??

Flies??of choice for these conditions are close to the patterns you have fished all winter, only sparser.?? Some of our favorites are:

Pick'Yer Pocket
Loop Leech
Moal Leech
Haley's Comet
Green Lantern

As the water warms do not over look the surface patterns.?? There is nothing like the huge hole left in the??surface??from a steelhead take.

Muddler Minnow
Bomber
Morrish's Mouse
Skate'N Fool
