The "Striper King" Classic charity fishing tournament will be held at Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet, California on August 27, 2011. This year's event will be supporting Valley- Wide Recreation and Parks and the Police Activities League, both from Hemet, with the net proceeds of the event going directly to those charities.
The "Striper King" Classic will be highlighted by the striper tournament with cash prizes going to (5) contestants. Last Chance Bait and Tackle of Hemet will be sponsoring the 1st place prize money of $1000.00. The event will be a festival type event, with something for every member of the family. For food & beverage, El Ojo de Agua Mexican Taquerias of San Jacinto will be catering lunch for all entrants. There will be vendor booths featuring fishing related items and services. Lowrance will be bringing their mobile tech unit and will provide support and upgrades to fish finders that are programmable.
One of the unique highlights of the event will be the "LIVE" Charity Auction with professional guides donating their services. 100% of the proceeds raised from the auction will go to the charities.
"We are looking forward to putting on another top-notch event at Diamond Valley Lake. We're very pleased that 5 of the top Diamond Valley Lake guides have donated their services for the charity auction. Our guests will have the opportunity to pick up a half-day guide trip for much less than the normal rates. The best part of the live auction is that all of the proceeds from this event will go to Valley-Wide Recreation and Parks and the Police Activities League. This year, the proceeds will go directly to the community of Hemet", says Barry A. Ogawa, Tournament Director.
Finishing the day, will be the "Striper King" huge raffle for fishing related prizes. Bass Pro Shops of Rancho Cucamonga will be donating over 100 raffle items. The net proceeds from the "Striper King" raffle will also go to the charities. The general public is invited to participate in the live charity auction and raffle. They do not have to be in the fishing tournament to participate in this activity.
Advanced tickets are recommended, with Adults tickets at $50.00 (purchased day of event) and Kids tickets at $10.00. The first 50 anglers to purchase tickets at Last Chance Bait & Tackle and the Diamond Lake Marina will receive a complimentary Plano guide series utility box valued at $10.00.
