As of Sept 8, 2011 he has had full limits for 3 weeks straight!
Salmon fishing in the Sacramento River is just spectacular this year. For Thursday September 8, full limits of bright king salmon to nearly 20 lbs were on board by 10:06 AM.
That's 21 days in a row of limits for Kevin Brock's clients, 3 full weeks. That's an excellent season beginning for the Sacramento River, by any measure. It won't be limits every day forever, but for right now, Kevin's doing really well on the salmon, and the lucky clients are getting lots of hot salmon action.
The 5 lucky anglers aboard landed 10 salmon out of their 11 morning hookups, drifting roe on light tackle. The largest of the day was close to 20 lbs, while most for the day were in the just-right-for-eating size range of 7-12 pounds.
There are many fish in the river right now, in all sizes. You just never know what's going to hit that roe ball as it drifts downstream. One thing is certain, however - it's definitely time to go fishing!
