Water Conditions:
Flows are perfect! Temps in the mid 50's.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Excellent! Make sure your fly is floating high, been seeing a lot of rejections cause the fly was sitting in the film instead of riding on top.
Fishing starts to get good around 11 AM. Larger Caddis around with BWO's making up most of the mayflies. Still some larger stones around too.
Recommended Flies:
Dries: Kaufman Stimulator #16
Headlight Yellow Sally #16
Outrigger Sally #16
Parachute Adams #18
Yellow Humpy #16
Elk Hair Caddis Olive #16-18
Hackle Stacker# 16
Royal Wulff #14-18
Chernobyl Ants
Stone Flies
Nymphs:
San Juan Worm Red/Pink
Copper John Red/Green #18
Bead Head Prince Nymph #18
Glass Bead Olive Micromayfly #18
Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail #18
Streamers:
Doc's Twin Lakes Special #12, Black/Olive/Brown
Guides Hint:
Pools usually yield 2-3 fish. Rather than changing flys, move upstream to the next pool. Sticking to faster water where the fish don't spook quite so easily.
