Water Conditions: Great the flows are up and down a bit over last few days and at 110 cfs as of 5/31.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Excellent! The best fare seems to be midges and caddis with a mayfly here and there. Fish the shallow fast riffles with larger dry flies or terrestrials. Not hearing much in the way of streamer activity.

DRIES: Elk Hair Caddis #16-18, Grey or Olive Parachute Caddis #18, Parachute Adams #16-18, Goddard Caddis #18, Chernobyl Ant
NYMPHS: Anderson's Bird of Prey Tan #18, Lafontaine's Sparkle Pupa #18-20, Nori's Caddis Pupa Green #18, Fox's Caddis Poopah Green #18, Black Flashy WD-40 #20, Olive Scud #16-18, Black WD-40 #20, Zebra Midge Black or Copper #18, BH Flashback Pheasant Tail #16-18, Nitro Caddis Green #18-20, Pheasant Tail #18-22, Buck Skin Caddis #18

Guides Hint: Flows are going to vary depending on how much the ranchers need in Nevada. They could care less about the fish or the fisherman.

for Monday, May 28th, 2012Mammoth Lakes : All the lakes in the Mammoth Basin are now fishable
Hot Creek: On Hot Creek use Midges early & caddis from mid-morning on
Crowley Lake: Crowley is fishing great, nymphs and streamers are the ticket
Owens River: The water has cleared on the Upper Owens but the fishing is just fair
Owens River: The flows are perfect in the Gorge and the fishing is good
Owens River: Water Skiing would be better than fishing on the Lower Owens as the flows are too high
Bridgeport Reservoir: Fishing is great at Bridgeport, but the fish are spread out until the weeds come
East Walker River (CA): Fishing is still good on the East Walker as the flows have been consistent
