We had a great time aboard the PACIFIC ISLANDER with Capt Steve Virtue out of CHANNEL ISLANDS SPORTFISHING turned out to be a great trip. We had 30 anglers aboard and anxious to do battle with some local island exotics. After out safety talk almost everyone headed to their bunk to get some rest for the next days battles. Almost everyone was on deck and soaking baits before grey light in hopes of being the first to hook up, the exotics had other ideas for this trip. We did manage to get 2 stray White Seabass to bite for our efforts. With no more bites, Capt Steve did some moves in hopes of finding them in the area. With none found the decision was made to head away from the islands and do some rockfishing. We were soon hooking up with some nice quality rockfish and lingcod, and didn't take long to get limits for everyone. Capt Steve and his crew did an amazing job on the deck to ensure everyone caught fish. Give the landing a call at 805-382-1612 to get aboard and experiance an awesome crew and catch some fish.
