The hot weather and low water has started the Kokanee to progress towards the spawn. Fish are heading for structure and spawning areas.
Fishing and the quality of the fish are real good if you're willing to put in a little extra effort fishing on structure from 70'-120'. BE CAREFUL OF THE TREES! They love down rigger weights.
We've switched to larger dodgers and baits: RMT, Murphy's, Seps 5.5"- 8" dodgers, super squids, 2.0 apex's and 2.5 Tasmanian Devils and changed scents to Pro-Cure predator, crawfish, anchovy, bloody tuna and garlic. Shorter leaders and an increase in speed 1.5-2.0 to create a more violent action.
The last few trips, including a recon trip with Jenlane, multiple limits in 3-5hrs.
