Most of the fish being caught are stockers but some bows are reaching 16 inches. Bass fishing has also been productive with fish taking spinners and plastics along the dam and the edges of submerged weed beds. The majority of bass taken are in the nine- to 12-inch category. Dacey is fishing well for bass and rainbows during the evening hours. Spinners and Rapala's are catching the fish. Trout fishing on Adams-McGill has been steady. Anglers are using bait and plastics with good results. Bass fishing on Adams has picked up. Fish ranging from nine to 12 inches in length are hitting plastics and buzz baits. Water temperatures are in the mid- to low 70's across the area. Aquatic vegetation is starting to surface, but mainly on Adams-McGill. The smoothest access into Kirch WMA is by using the northern country road near the headquarters office; the southern access road is passable but remains a rough ride.
