There are nearly two feet of ice, but the shoreline ice is unstable. The reservoir is filling with water, and the new water along the shoreline has created unstable ice on the south shore. Access along the east shore is good, but please use caution. When the reservoir was checked on Jan. 28, there was evidence that a four-wheeler had gone through the ice at the shoreline off the dam. The reservoir has many small rainbows, but the bite is very light.
