Ed O.: We fished Willow Springs and Woods Canyon by boat last Saturday and Sunday, respectively. At Willow, the trout bite was good on the bottom in the middle of the lake with sherbert PowerBait. Salmon eggs and rooster tails failed. We caught good-sized trout at bottom middle near the dead trees away from the dam. At Woods on Sunday we were the first boat on the lake and fishing was atrocious. We used every color of PowerBait we had and salmon eggs. We also used a cowbell lure across the entire lake. We had tons of bites and they were all crawdads or baby sunfish. By 9 the entire lake was covered in boats.
