It's hopper time. Hoppers are a great way to introduce people to the thrill of having a fish come up and take a fly off the surface of the water. This river is good because there are some areas near the dam that have some open areas that give beginners some casting room. The impoundment above the power plant is also a great place to practice fly casting. Please be aware that there are rattlesnakes in this area.
